About Me

I’m an editor for the New York Times News Service, which distributes Times stories, columns and essays to clients around the globe. At the News Service, I’ve worked with writing from war reporter Dexter Filkins, filmmaker Woody Allen, columnist Maureen Dowd, author Michael Chabon and the late Kennedy counselor Ted Sorensen — among many, many others.

I love to write and read, and I like to think finely tuned grammar still has a place in a world ruled by iPhone keyboards. Aside from language, I’m interested in politics, travel, pop culture, vegetarian cooking and world religions. At the University of Florida, where I earned degrees in religion and journalism, I trained as a reporter and did internships focused on political reporting.

Born in South Florida and raised there and in Atlanta, I have a high tolerance for humidity and an unyielding loyalty to Coca-Cola.
